It's a girl!!

We had our third ultrasound last week and all signs point to a baby girl! I am very excited. Now I just have to find a name! I have one more ultrasound in a couple of months, so we'll see what that tells us. I am very skeptical since we've heard boy (early on), and then girl twice, and we were expecting it to be a boy. I am ready to be excited that we finally know what we are having, but hopefully not just in time to find out something different. AAHHH! The waiting game! Oh yeah, baby is very healthy and doing the regular hokey poky in there!

Baby Kicks

Last night the most amazing thing happened. Jonathan and I were watching a movie and I started to feel the baby kick again. I paused the movie and put Jonathan's hand on my belly. He was worried he would hurt the baby and he kept talking and wouldn't sit still. When I finally convinced him it was okay, we sat in silence with his hand on my belly for a few moments. And then, KICK! The baby kicked again and Jonathan felt it for the first time! He was so excited! He said that was so awesome and that it made his day. It was way later when he was able to feel Kayla for the first time so it was wonderful to be able to share that with him. It was the most amazing experience.

Pregnancy

I found out in July that I am pregnant with our second baby, and due March 19th. I am thrilled! This was a planned baby, as was the first. I broke the news to Jonathan the same way he proposed to me. I found out 2 days before we went on a family vacation to Florida, and I waited to tell him on the beach, exactly where he proposed. I opened up a jewelry box and there was the positive test! He was so surprised and so excited! It was amazing. I planned it from the very beginning. There's always the battle with myself of how far apart the siblings will be, but I think 2 years will be just fine. I am really enjoying being pregnant again. It's way less stressful this time around. I know what to expect, during and after pregnancy, and I have a very supportive job this time. Our first ultrasound was at 12 weeks and we found out it was a boy! Then, at 16 weeks, the doctor said it looked like a girl! Now we will have to wait 3 more weeks until 22 weeks to check again, and hopefully then we will know for sure. Jonathan and I think it's a boy. I felt the baby kick very strong two days ago. It was amazing! I swear there is nothing better than those first kicks. The baby is real, and healthy, and growing strong, and it's our time to bond. My reward for literally sacrificing my body. It is passing by so quickly and soon enough our little sweetheart will be in my arms. I cannot wait! Will I be able to do well as a mother of two? We'll see!
